    Dear Gatzert Families,

We’re so glad to get back in the flow after the snow days and Mid-Winter Break! This month brings our annual March Read-A-Thon and Family Feedback Night! Our March Read-A-Thon is a time when students set a target for the number of books they’ll read and culminates in a big reading party (a “Read-In”) on Friday March 29th @ 1:30pm. Students can bring blankets, pillows, a stuffy and their favorite book to read. Families are encouraged to join in the reading fun by setting a target goal themselves and attending the Read-In. Family Feedback Night is March 28 from 6-8pm.  The theme for this year’s Family Feedback is “Parent-School Partnership” how school and families can, together, create a richer partnership in service to our students. Please join us for this important, fun and community-building event. Family Feedback Night is from 6-8pm. Dinner will be served. Childcare available. Translation in Somali, Spanish, Oromo and Vietnamese will be provided.  A few other events this month:

    • Friday March 8th @ 10 a.m. – Cinderella In Spain w/the Seattle Opera
    • Family Talk Time continues each week
    • Friday March 8 8-9 a.m.  Family Partners meeting

I look forward to seeing you at one of our March events!!
